COURTNEY ALEXANDER

Loved by students and faculty alike, Courtney Alexander has been teaching with knowledge, enthusiasm and joy in our school for years. She has earned her undergraduate degree in Health Education and Masters in Administration. She continues to be a great asset to our team.

EDRENA LEWIS

Since joining MECA, Edrena Lewis has consistently brought a passion and dedication with students each day. She has earned her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education at Columbia University. She encourages students to continue to learn and grow within their community.

MAYA BROOKS

Ms. Brooks earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Tennessee State University. She has always had a passion for students and continues to learn and grow within the counseling program.  She looks forward to prepare students to face challenges and succeed. She wants all of the students to learn more about themselves.

CURTIS DRUMHELLER

 Since joining MECA, Mr. Drumheller has consistently brought a passion and dedication with students each day. He received his undergraduate degree at Cumberland University in Public Service Management.  Each student will find a place right away in any counseling lesson taught by Mr. Drumheller.

It is the Mission of MECA Middle School Counselors to provide a comprehensive program to meet the various needs of all students as they transition from childhood to adolescence; MMS counselors work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure each student is successful in meeting his/her social, emotional, developmental, and cognitive needs.

VISION STATEMENT

 The students of MECA Middle School are functioning and productive members of society who will embark on a journey of lifelong learning, self evaluation, and leadership opportunities.  The MMS counselors are dedicated to empowering its students to strive for success not only academically, but socially as well.  It is our goal to provide a comprehensive program that encourages our students to be accountable for his/her own actions, attitudes, and academic endeavors.
